About the event
Always wanted to make your very own armor? This is where you start. Every art has it’s foundation skills and in this class I will be teaching students the techniques necessary for armor making. A three week series in which students will create a series of projects that build skills in cutting, de-burring, shaping, riveting, sanding and finishing sheet metal. Students will learn and practice these techniques under my guidance. These methods are the cornerstones of the art of modern and medieval metalworking , their knowledge and practice essential to the creation of your own armor or sculpture/metalwork. By the end of the course you will have completed a project to take home.
Note: This class is pre-requisite for future classes in which students will be able to produce complete pieces of real armor.
