Gauntlets - English style 1460s
Gauntlets in the english style 1460s as seen in Toby Capwell's book Arms and armour of the english knight. These are made of 1050 spring steel 18ga, 19 ga and 20ga finger plates.
They have a deerskin glove stitched in. They have decorative embellishments of chevron fluting on the metacarpal and cuff as well as a brass edge on the cuff decorated with stamped geometric decoration. These gauntlets are marked with Jeff's Maker mark.
They will fit a medium sized hand 9" as measured around the palm. The metacarpal forms a very protective point and has a second articulation underneath. The fingers are protected by pointed finger scales.
These gauntlets are perfect for a collector, or ready to use on the field of battle!
